Test Criteria
Hohenstein developed a test method for sleeping comfort.
We evaluate the entire bedding system (material, pattern, quilting, body adaption) under simulated use conditions.
- Thermal manikin: measures insulation and places the bedding into one of three insulation classes
- Sweating thermal manikin: configured to replicate sleep conditions to measure breathability
Flexible Extensions:
- Effective against mites
- House dust and mite barrier
- Organic cotton
- Tested for harmful substances
- Care properties
For product development: To determine material specific values of each layer construction (such as thermal and water vapor resistance, water vapor absorbency and buffering capacity of water vapor), additional tests can be conducted with the Hohenstein Skin Model according to DIN EN ISO 11092.
