Chemical protective suits prevent adverse health effects from working in chemically or microbiologically contaminated environments.

Each chemical protective suit is designed for a specific use, as resistance to all substances and materials from every environment is not possible.

Depending on the type of use, there are 6 types or protection levels for chemical protective suits, which differ in their protective effect from gas-tight to limited tightness against liquids.
